Volvo Masacer 2001

An early saterday morning in mid October,
we had planned since weeks ago to record the "Volvo Masacer".
Unfortunally, I had forgotten all about it.
Huwever, Micke and Filip had NOT forgotten...
Filip had arranged a car to crash, and Micke was armed with lots of destructive ideas.
My part in this project was only to film and observe for a change.



Since I had forgotten all about the recording,
naturally I had already returned the video-camera
that I borrowed a couple of weeks ago, for that specific purpose...
...so that was step one.
Trying to get the camera back at 08:30 a Saterdaymorning.

Around lunch-time, we were all set.
We all started off with Filip trying to fly as far as possible with the car.
All those clips disapeared for some unforgivable reason...
I better studdy the cameras I borrow at least one day in advance.



After herrasing the learners at Solvalla Racecourse for an hour or so,
we wnt off to Barkarby shoppingcenter.
Driftingtime!
As Filip was drifting around a couple of piles with small rocks,
the owner of the piles, were less impressed.
He asked us, friendly but polite to get our asses out of there...
...then he mentioned something about tresspassing and cops,
but we didn't bother to find out.



After repairing the brake-servo with some Gaffer-tape,
we got to a really nice place, but Filip couldn't resist the opportunity to run into a wall.
As a result of that, the var needed a spare-tyre and a front-wheel-angle adjustment.



With a fresh calibration of the wheel-angles,
it was time to go back to the harrasement of the learners at Solvalla.
Some jumping, flying and other kinds of violent driving later,
the complete exhaust-system left the car,
and that made us leave Solvalla before the cops would find us...
...We left Solvalla and headed for the car-sematary.



Someone had reserved the cooler, so that left the "building" quite early.
Then some gangstas filled the engine with sand, screws, nuts, small little rocks,
and anything else that would go into the wholes for filling oil...



As a surprise to everyone, the car would not start at all.
After removing the cap over the valves, a giant nut was found,
squeezed betwen a lifter and the camshaft...
Wit the nut removed, the car started just as if nothing ever happened.
-Thats Swedish quality, laidies and gentlemen.



After a couple of rounds without water and with oil spraying the enginecompartement,
the thick smoke made the car come to it's most positive side ever.



A rock on the exellerator towards a wall,
and with gear one in position,
the engine finally dropped dead in flames!
